EGA Business Card Contest Rules

Deadline

The deadline for submitting your entry for the 2007

Etsy Glass Artists Business Card Contest is 11:59PM (ET), Monday September 3, 2007.

Eligibility

You must be 18 years old as of the deadline to enter,

or have reached the age of majority in the country in which you reside, on or before the Contest Deadline.

Members of Etsy Glass Artists and their immediate family members are not eligible.

Entry

Entries into the Etsy Glass Artists Business Card Contest

must be made through our official online entry form. There is a limit of two entries per person.

All entries become the property of Etsy Glass Artists and will not be acknowledged or returned. The Sponsor will not be responsible for entry forms delayed, stolen, misdirected, lost or destroyed.

There are no fees for entering the contest. It is 100% free.

Odds

The odds of being selected depend upon the total number

of eligible entries received.

Prizes

The winner of the EGA business card contest

will receive the grand glass prize. The approximate retail value of the grand glass prize is $350. Two honorable mention $10 gift certificates will also be awarded.

Grading

Entries will be judged based on the following set of criteria:

Creativity/Originality	5	Is the design unique/out of the ordinary?
Effectiveness	10	How well does the design promote glasswork on Etsy and convey the mission of EGA?
Attractiveness	10	The aesthetic elements of the design - is it eye-catching?

Judging

Entries will be assigned points in each category by the

EGA judging panel. The entry with the most points will be the winner of the grand glass prize. In the event of a tie, the top scoring entries will be judged in a run-off based upon the same criteria to determine the winner of the grand glass prize.

Permission

By submitting your design to the EGA Business Card Contest,

you agree that should you be chosen as the grand glass prize winner, you authorize EGA to use your design for commercial purposes, including promotion of this and future contests, promotion of EGA, its members, and Etsy.com. You agree that you will not be compensated for use of your design.

All submitted designs and design components must be

your original work. Etsy Glass Artists will not be liable for copyright infringement on the part of entrants.

You may use royalty free stock photography provided that you have obtained a transferrable licence to use the content for advertising and promotional purposes. You may not use EGA members' photographs.

Notification

Starting on September 12, 2007 attempts will be made

to contact the entrant selected as eligible for the grand glass prize and the honorable mention prizes at the email address on their entry form for a period of 7 days. If an eligible entrant cannot be contacted within the allotted time, he/she is no longer eligible to win and another entrant will be selected and the same process will be repeated, until the grand glass prize and the honorable mention prizes have been successfully awarded.
